Cooking Impaired?

Check out this week’s post on Liberating Working Moms where I admit how completely and totally cooking impaired I am.

My mom was a busy stay-at-home mom for about half of my childhood. Then she was a busy working mom. She cooked as my brother and I grew up because she had to. She used recipes from both sides of the family—some are Italian dishes I love to this day, while others are survival foods dating back to the Great Depression—but she never, ever wanted to cook. She never, ever liked to cook. And she never claimed to be good at it. Neither do I.
